I had just started powerlifting and needed to lose a few kilos to be in my weight category. My coach Mayank suggested that I meet Maitreyi for a diet plan. Since I was to train hard for my competitions, it was imperative that I shed the extra weight at no cost to my strength or energy level. Maitreyi and I discussed my lifestyle and tastes. She understood my abhorrence of artificial supplements and fad diets and my love for all-natural foods. I started training with Maitreyi back in 2011; I was never really Into playing any games or running and the whole idea of working out
It just seemed super boring. Maitreyi was very supportive and tailored the workouts according to my schedule and what I liked doing. She introduced me to Crossfit and pushed me to do things I didn’t think my body was capable of doing. Lots of free weights and a fun workout Ensured I had dropped the fat, built good muscle and looked fit. She also taught me about what a good diet consists. Her tips are always very practical and easily doable. The diet plan she charts out always makes sure I’m full after a meal and can have a productive day. The most important thing is that once you train with her, your perception of exercise changes. I love working out now and even if I don’t have a gym, thanks to everything she’s taught me I can always have a great workout at home with absolutely no equipment. I HATED running initially, Maitreyi would take me to the club with her and we would practice running. Thanks to this I’ve done three 21 km marathons and prepping for my second SCMM, run practically every other day and am totally addicted to running. This for somebody like me is a big deal since I really don’t play any sports. A big hug and thank you to Maitreyi!

Being an avid fitness lover, a Pilates instructor and a personal trainer myself, I was looking for a very gentle nudge in the right direction for my nutrition. I definitely did not want to follow any fad diets as I have to be very active throughout the day and need to keep my energy up. Knowing that Maitreyi would understand this as she herself is an athlete it was an easy choice for me to select my nutritionist. Once I met her and she gave me my 1st nutrition plan I knew this was the person for me. The plan was not at all restrictive. It was easy to follow, adapt and make into a habit.
